Aiken County Emergency Services
Amatuer Radio Communications Trailer

This is the layout of our unit. Without the help of NOMAD Techs of Kalsispell, Montana, we would have never have had such a great unit!

The trailer is powered by either 30/50 amp service AC or by a 10kw diesel generator. All electronics are backed up by a UPS. Two large deep cycle batteries on board give the extra back-up we need and are used for starting the generator.

David Ruth is seen putting on the VHF/UHF and Palmetto 800mhz antennas on the trailer

Our new AVL system  antenna has allowed our unit to recieve DLS speed internet and provide others with this service through a long range external wi-fi antenna. Here at the Darlington International Raceway we provided numerous agencies with that service.
